Discovering the Wines of Castilla-La Mancha

The Airén grape is the most widely planted grape in Spain. It has been used mainly in bulk wines, but the wineries in Castilla-La Mancha are giving it a lot of tender and loving care. We also enjoyed several Viognier wines. Yes, they grow this grape in Castilla-La Mancha and it is very good. We also like the Chardonnay wines we tried, especially the unoaked variety.
