Just got back from the TJ at Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo and they have a few bottles of Parson's flat left.

All the Beringer's Chardonnay is gone. They had one pallet to sell and everything is sold. I bought the last two cases.

The Green Fin Chardonnay @ $3.99 is a C+ and at $3.99 it isn't all
that bad.

Sorry for the all-too-brief turnaround, but the Parson's Flat has come and gone; several customers (and I hope some of you as well) have absconded with the entire remainder of this final shipment....

Cheers!

Thanks for the tip. I'm heading to TJ's in Millbrae later this afternoon. Also Dean's Produce.

Parson's Flat has made one final, brief reappearance at the Millbrae TJ's. Only a few half cases left; get it while it lasts! Robert Parker 90 points, as well as several other scores all well into the 90's. A very limited run, but eminently drinkable now, as well as cellarable for about seven years. Yum!

Found another delightful Sauvigon blanc. Just in at the Carlsbad TJ here in So. Ca. 2008 Sonoma Vineyards at 6.99. Could easily sell for twice this amount. Great purity of fruit. If you are a fan of SB, you can't go wrong.

Thanks for the tip. Have not tried the South Africa. I'll put that on my list.

Of the three different SB's made by Sauvignon Republics, I prefer the one from South Africa. They are all good.

I have always enjoyed the Republic Savy Blanc. Picked up a couple here in Carlsbad. I didn't know that they had gone out of business. That's ashame. No wonder it was such a good deal. TJs just got in the Beringer Third Century char. Super deal...3.99. Buy this one by the case. Yummy!

Mike reports: "Trader joe's in Millbrae, has the 2008 Sauvignon Republic from Russian River for $7 a bottle. All of the wines under this label are excellent and even a better deal since they have gone out of business. If you like solid SB, then this deserves a place in your cellar or garage. The original price retail was in the mid teens--- $13-17 a bottle. I would put a few away for the coming summer months. Check your local TJ and see if it is there or they can order some.
The '07 Napa Syrah, looks like it could be a good deal, but have not tried it yet. Post it if you have tried it."
